Artie and Susan Hall – Managua, Nicaragua

Artie and Susan are doing phenomenally well for their short time in the country. Artie is fully fluent in Spanish, at time stumbling for the right English word. He works closely with the Verbo churches, building the Bible Institute and developing leaders. Susan excels as the principal at Nicaragua Christian Academy and her influence in the realm of education continues to grow and be a blessing to the country.

Bob and Myra Trolese – Verbo Church

Bob leads the Verbo efforts across all of Nicaragua. Bob has grown many strong local leaders throughout the organization. Ministries of Verbo include churches in various areas around the country, 2 orphanages with more in development, children’s feeding programs, 4 schools (one serving 400 students) and a farm. Verbo enjoys positive relationships with other ministries and churches across the country. Through Bob’s leadership, Verbo has a truly national impact on Nicaragua. Verbo is our key partner in Nicaragua.

Nicaragua Outreach

Our 5 years of investment in Nicaragua are yielding exciting returns. The work project on Pastor Ed Jaentschke’s house continues to proceed and is nearing completion. Through the past years, over $10,000 has gone to helping feed hungry children. 2008 saw the expansion of our outreach to include teachers and students. Our student team was very well received and built some very strong relationships. Our teachers were also effective. The teaching techniques shared are being put into use. Education in the 5 schools we worked with is improving. We also provided funds to teachers at one school to enable each teacher to have funds to purchase school supplies at the start of the year. This is the first time these teachers have had this ability.

Bluefields, Nicaragua leaders

The church in Bluefields has a persistent problem in keeping able leaders due in large part to the poor economic situation. The funds will help retain at least one assistant to work alongside Pastor Ed Jaentschke.
